Hedgehog island is centrally located in Charleston Lake. It is about four miles from Charleston Village and one mile from the boat launch at the Provincial Park. It covers an area of about twenty acres and is a half mile long.
There are two cottages on the island separated by about a quarter mile. The rental cottage, known as the Cook House, is in a cove in the center of the island. It has a nice sandy beach as well as boat docking facilities.
There are two bedrooms, bathroom, and kitchen/living room. Sleeping accommodations can handle up to six people.
